Raised by his mother after his father was lost at sea in World War II, he and his mom called Patterson, NJ home for many years. Born to Walter and Agnes Sandy in Austin, Texas on December 13, 1942, Walt spent 79 years bringing joy and happiness to his family and friends. On Thursday, May 5, 2022, the Sandy family lost their hero, Sanderson Walter Sandy. A memorial gathering will take place from 1 pm until the time of service at the church. He took great pride in his family, especially in his grandchildren and great grandchildren.Ī Memorial service will be held on Sunday May 15 at 2pm in the Presbyterian Church-Woodbury, 67 S Broad St, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Anyone that really knew him, knew he loved his family more than anything. He had a passion for fixing old engines and machines. He enjoyed vacationing with his family and friends, especially cruising. He was an industrial mechanic and worked for Eastern Lift Truck until his retirement. Wilson was a lifetime resident of Upper Pittsgrove and a graduate of Woodstown High School Class of 1945.
